In addition, Larin and Oscar van Riemensdijk mention two further children: Herman Raasch, b. 1850, and Gustav Raasch, b. 1854, neither of whom have citations in NAAIRS, and neither of which is mentioned in the parents' death notices. Perhaps they died as children, maybe aboard ship? |

Citation in NAAIRS: KAB MOOC 6/9/730 3167 RAASCH, WILHELM AUGUST. DEATH NOTICE. 1913. (3) Note that the year of birth corroborates information obtained by Lorraine Burger (where?) in a record of original settlers, showing "Wilhelm Raasch" (33 years old) and Louise Raasch (33 years old), from Alt-Dammerow, with 4 children. We know Louisa's birth year (1825), hence this corresponds with Wilhelm's 1824. (4) Note that it is reported in the death notice that his son Carl Raasch had died three years previously, viz. in 1910. This corresponds to August Carl Raasch. The first name August is not used in his Wilhelm's death record or in that of his wife. ??
